Separation cycle

How the separator works

01

Slurry intake

Manure slurry from the pig or cattle house enters the machine through the feed inlet and moves toward the screw auger.

02

Screw extrusion

The screw auger presses the slurry against a wedge-wire screen basket, so liquid passes through the screen while solids stay in the press.

03

Liquid discharge

Separated liquid flows out of the machine into the storage lagoon, keeping the liquid stream clear of the solid cake.

04

Solid cake drop

Dehydrated solid cake is pushed to the outlet, where counterweight discharge releases it continuously during operation.

Working footage

See the separator run

Working videos show the separator during live farm operations, so buyers can see continuous slurry separation before they request a quotation. Each video is shown with its machine model and application details.

Ask our team for a video demonstration matched to your farm type, slurry volume, and installation site.

Maintenance notes

Keeping the separator in service

Clean the screen basket and discharge areas after each shift so slurry does not dry on the wedge-wire surfaces. Check the screw auger for wear at the flight edges and inspect the screen for blocked openings before restarting the machine.

Clean-in-place steps and wear-part schedules are confirmed with each model's technical documentation. Contact YAN HOME to receive the maintenance details for your machine.
